RobCo becomes a robotics unicorn as employees sell $40M of shares at a $1B valuation
Munich-based RobCo, which has more than 1,000 modular industrial robots deployed at customers including BMW Group, saw long-time employees sell about $40M of stock to new investors Cherry Ventures and European Tech Collective alongside returning backers Sequoia Capital, Lightspeed Venture Partners, Lingotto and Leitmotif. The transaction values the company at roughly $1B, double its Series C mark from January, and the company itself received no new capital. It is one of the few European physical-AI companies to reach unicorn status and a signal of secondary liquidity returning to robotics.
