Provides structured guidance for upgrading between Expo SDK versions and resolving the dependency changes that come with each release. Includes migration paths for major architectural shifts (New Architecture, React Compiler), framework updates (React 19), and module replacements (expo-av → expo-audio/video, react-navigation → expo-router). Essential when your app needs to keep pace with Expo's rapid evolution.
- Reference guides for SDK-specific breaking changes: React 19 hooks, New Architecture compat, React Compiler setup
- Step-by-step migration paths for deprecated modules (expo-av → expo-audio/video, native-tabs API reshuffles)
- Codemod + manual mapping for react-navigation → expo-router entry point migrations
- Beta/preview release detection and installation via @next tag for early adopters
