What it does

Brings a production-grade money model to financial systems: append-only double-entry ledgers, immutable audit trails, delivery semantics for payments, and the regulatory map (PCI DSS, PSD2, SOX, IFRS, Basel, AML/KYC). Reach for it whenever a task touches money — balances, charges, refunds, invoices, FX, interest, P&L — or when someone says 'just add an amount field' or 'the numbers don't match'.

Model money as claims (not numbers): append-only ledgers, double-entry posting rules, immutable history, reversals for corrections
Implement delivery semantics: idempotency keys, at-least-once webhooks, holds and settlement finality to prevent retries charging twice
Reconcile to the source of truth: align your system to the org's existing ledger, ERP, PSP or bank statement; never create a second authoritative record
Encode controls and compliance: limits, separation of duties, approvals, audit trails, PCI DSS, AML/KYC, and executable audit harnesses
