Aniara
Aniara is a Stockholm-based startup that uses AI language technology to translate, produce and distribute books globally. It aims to cut translation time from months to days while keeping each author's voice. It sells to independent authors and says it offers them a larger share of revenue. In May 2025 it closed a pre-seed round of about €600K, led by Aller Media Nordic with angel investor Membriq Invest, against an initial target of €360K. At that time it operated in 14 markets and had produced over 128 titles in 8 languages. The founding team comes from Storytel and Spotify, and the CEO and founder is Rickard Lundberg.
