Catalyx Space develops reusable ReX reentry vehicles with an origami-inspired deployable heat shield. They are designed to return up to 12 tons and 60 m³ of cargo from LEO to ocean recovery zones. Earlier offerings included autonomous space labs, satellite buses and re-entry capsules for microgravity research, manufacturing and sample return. Customers include research institutions and commercial enterprises, and the company sells mission services such as payload deployment, operations and return. Founded in 2024, it raised a $1.7M pre-seed round in January 2025 and a $5.4M seed round led by Outlander VC in October 2025, and it has an MOU with India's In-SPACe.
