.lumen sells CE-certified wearable glasses to blind and visually impaired users. The glasses use PAD AI, which applies self-driving-car perception and path planning to pedestrians and guides the wearer with haptic feedback on the forehead. The company says it has tested the glasses with users in 30+ countries. Its stated plan is to make the glasses free to users through reimbursement from government programs, insurers and assistive-technology funds. The EIC lists €9.25M received and €13M secured. Funding includes a €9.7M EIC award in 2021 and a €5M round in 2024–25 led by Catalyst Romania, with €1M from SeedBlink retail investors, plus EIT Urban Mobility investment in Dec 2025. The same PAD AI software is also aimed at delivery robotics, AR and humanoid robots.
