INBRAIN builds ultra-thin graphene neural interfaces that record and modulate brain activity in both directions. Machine learning drives the decoding and therapy. The platform targets neurological conditions such as Parkinson's disease, epilepsy and stroke, and is aimed at patients and clinicians. It is an investigational device in clinical trials, including a first-in-human study that reported interim results in 2025. The company is a venture-funded medtech spin-off from the Graphene Flagship and ICN2/ICREA. It closed a $50M Series B led by imec.xpand in October 2024, bringing total funding to about $68M. Merck KGaA is a development partner, and imec is a manufacturing-scale-up partner.
