MGX is an Abu Dhabi investment company, announced in March 2024 by the emirate's AI and Advanced Technology Council. Mubadala and G42 are its foundational partners. It invests across AI infrastructure, semiconductors, and AI models, software and robotics. Its Fund I closed at $49B in July 2026 against a $45B target, with backing from Gulf, North American, Asian and European investors. It had invested in 14 companies by then, including OpenAI, Anthropic and xAI, and it joined the consortium buying Aligned Data Centers in a roughly $40B deal in 2025. It is also a co-founder of the AI Infrastructure Partnership with BlackRock's GIP and Microsoft.
