Midjourney, Inc. is a self-described independent research lab. It sells subscription access, at about $10–$120 a month, to a text-to-image and video generation service. The service runs on a web app and Discord. David Holz founded it in 2021, and it has taken no outside funding. Press estimates put revenue at around $500M a year (2025–2026), but the company publishes no audited figures. Its V8.2 model was released in July 2026, and headcount is estimated at about 100–165.
