Octen AI
Octen, legally APITECH AI Pte. Ltd., builds search infrastructure for AI agents. It offers a web search API with a trillion-scale index, minute-level updates, about 60ms latency and over 1M queries per second. It also offers the Octen-Embedding models, and its Octen-8B model topped the RTEB retrieval leaderboard in early 2026. Customers are developers and enterprises building agentic apps, and the model is infrastructure and API access. In April 2026 it launched publicly and announced a $10M seed round led by Square Peg, with Argor and AI scientists participating. Founder and CEO Kuan Zou previously worked on AI search at Alibaba Cloud and Baidu. The company operates from San Francisco and Singapore, and I found no evidence of a Spencer, West Virginia location.
