Perplexity runs a conversational answer engine that returns sourced, cited responses. It also offers the Comet browser, the Perplexity Assistant and, since February 2026, Perplexity Computer, an AI agent. It sells to consumers, professionals and enterprises through free and paid subscriptions, usage-based pricing and APIs. It was last verifiably valued at about $20B after a $200M round in September 2025, and total funding is reported at roughly $1.2–1.7B. Annualized revenue was estimated at about $750M in August 2026, up from about $232M at the end of 2025.
