Profluent builds foundation models for protein design (ProGen3) and AI-designed molecules, including the open-source OpenCRISPR-1 gene editor and OpenAntibodies. Customers and partners include pharma, biotech, agriculture and diagnostics firms such as Eli Lilly, Revvity, Corteva and IDT. It makes money by licensing its models and molecules, and by partnerships and early-access programs. It raised $106M in 2025, led by Bezos Expeditions and Altimeter, which brought its total raised to about $150M.
