Autodesk to buy MaintainX for $3.6B in cash — about 27× this year's ARR

Autodesk agreed on May 28 to acquire MaintainX, the AI-driven maintenance and work-order platform used on factory floors, for $3.6B in cash. MaintainX expects to top $135M of ARR in 2026 and is growing more than 50% a year, so Autodesk is paying roughly 27× forward ARR to own what happens after a building or plant is built.
