SpaceX to buy Cursor maker Anysphere for $60B in stock

SpaceX announced on June 16 that it would acquire Anysphere, the company behind the Cursor AI code editor, for $60B in an all-stock deal — the largest acquisition of an AI startup to date. The deal closed on August 14 after regulatory review, folding Cursor into the SpaceXAI unit alongside Grok and X.
