micro1 lines up Citi and Hercules Capital financing for a $1B, 12-month enterprise data buying program
The San Francisco data lab said on October 9 that it will spend $1B over the next 12 months buying and licensing operational data through its Company Data Partnerships program. Citi and Hercules Capital are providing the capital. The size and terms of the facility were not disclosed. Payouts come in tiers: more than $100,000 for a qualified partnership, more than $500,000 for large or ongoing datasets, and more than $1M for highly unique proprietary data. micro1 targets companies with more than 30 employees and established documentation, with US firms first in line. It turns SOPs, CRM records, project histories and decision logs into reinforcement learning environments where agents practice real workflows. The company raised $100M at a $4B valuation in September and bid for Spirit Airlines' customer records in that bankruptcy. For builders, enterprise process data is becoming a priced asset that can be financed with debt. Companies with years of documented operations now have a buyer, and teams training agents should expect data costs to rise as labs compete for the same records.
