Terminal acquires Stationed AI to launch Terminal AI engineering division
Terminal, which recruits engineers across more than 180 countries, bought Stationed AI, a Miami startup founded by Ja'dan Johnson. The purchase anchors Terminal AI, a unit that will place engineers with mid-sized firms, and Terminal plans to roughly double the Wynwood team. No price has been disclosed, and the two sides spent about four weeks in talks before agreeing to combine. Terminal was co-founded by Palantir co-founder Joe Lonsdale, and the unit targets companies without in-house AI staff. Its engineers will sit with client executives, look for workflows to automate, and wire agents into daily operations. For founders, this shows that delivery capacity and customer relationships in AI services can be acquired by recruiting platforms. Teams selling implementation work should expect buyers to pay for engineers and client access, so documentation of deployments and reusable playbooks matters in any sale.
