Destinus acquires Dutch radar perception software firm Perciv AI
Destinus is folding Perciv's radar perception team into its operations, with founders Andras Palffy, Balazs Szekeres and Srimannarayana Baratam continuing to lead the business. Perciv was a TU Delft spin-out that turns radar research into software for live systems, and it raised its seed round from DayOne Capital, Keen Venture Partners and Vinci Venture Capital. Financial terms of the transaction were not disclosed. The purchase is Destinus's third acquisition in the Netherlands, after an asset deal with OPRA in 2023 and the Aerialtronics purchase in 2025. It follows Destinus's 2025 acquisition of Swiss aviation AI firm Daedalean, which was reported at about $225 million. For founders, the deal shows defence groups buying small sensing and perception software teams to own critical autonomy components for drones. Niche sensor fusion skills can attract hardware primes, but founders should expect the acquirer to set the product roadmap and to reshape the team around its own platforms.
