DeepSeek Harness v0.2 ships desktop apps and an alpha bridge that runs Claude Code mods as plugins

DeepSeek's MIT-licensed agent harness, now past 240,000 GitHub stars, gained official macOS and Windows desktop apps in v0.2 with a plugin manager, a diff-review sidebar, PDF, spreadsheet and slide handling, a scheduled automation plugin and four session modes, and it works against any OpenAI-compatible endpoint. A v0.2.1 alpha adds an experimental compatibility layer that lets Claude Code mods run as Harness plugins. For builders it is a model-agnostic, open alternative to Claude Code and Codex with a GUI, and portability of mods lowers the switching cost between agent stacks.
