AIATOR builds AI and robotics systems for factories. Its main product is an AI textile winding robot that automates feeding and winding yarn packages. It also makes an AI welding robot. The systems combine collaborative arms, embedded vision, edge computing and IoT sensors. Customers are textile and other manufacturers, and the company earns money by selling robotic automation solutions to enterprises. Founded in 2017 by UC Berkeley-trained founder Zizhou Zhao and co-founders, it raised a seed round in 2019, a Series A in 2021, and Series A+ in November 2024 and Series A++ in February 2025. Preqin reports more than 130 IP filings, including 38 invention patents. Headcount estimates vary by source, from under 10 to 11–50.
