Dxcover is a clinical-stage diagnostics company and University of Strathclyde spin-out. Its platform uses infrared spectroscopy of blood serum and AI algorithms to detect early-stage (Stage I/II) cancers, starting with brain and colorectal cancer, and it expanded to eight cancers in 2022. It is pre-commercial and works through clinical studies, CE/IVDR regulatory work and biopharma and diagnostic partnering. It raised a £7.5M Series A plus a £2.2M European Innovation Council grant (about £9.7M in total) in 2023, and a further ~£5M equity round in 2025 to support expansion into the US.
