Hailo, an Israeli fabless chip company founded in 2017, sells AI inference processors and M.2 accelerator modules with a software toolchain. They run deep learning and generative AI (including small LLMs) on-device at low power, for security cameras, automotive, industrial automation, robotics and PCs. It raised about $340M in total, including a $120M Series C extension in April 2024 at a reported $1.2B valuation. In 2026 it reportedly cut staff (about 10% in January, with a reported 50% cut in June) and refocused on robotics and physical AI. In July 2026 it signed a deal to be acquired by Microchip Technology, with closing expected by the end of Q3 2026.
