Laennec AI develops a software-first, smartphone-based AI digital stethoscope. It uses the phone microphone and a low-cost adapter to detect respiratory changes in real time, and includes a companion app that coaches patients with COPD and severe asthma. It targets patients and the clinicians and NHS partners who monitor them remotely. The company closed a £375K pre-seed round in November 2024 from SFC Capital and OVC Ventures, plus grants from the Welsh Government, Innovate UK and NIHR. It is a very small team (about 3 employees per its July 2025 filing) and had no disclosed revenue as of 2025.
