TARGAN builds high-speed imaging, AI and robotics systems for commercial hatcheries. Its WingScan system identifies chick sex from feathers at up to 100,000 chicks per hour, and its ocular spray system gives individualized vaccinations. Customers are poultry producers such as Wayne-Sanderson Farms. It has installed systems in the US, Canada, France, Italy and Poland and has processed over 2.5 billion chicks (2026). The company secured a $100M financing deal in early 2026, and Merck Animal Health announced plans to acquire it in June 2026.
