Zú
Zú is a Montréal non-profit initiated by Guy Laliberté. It runs incubation and acceleration programs for creative-technology startups. The programs use a mentoring methodology from the MIT Venture Mentoring Service. It also offers open-innovation services for SMEs and large companies, access to a venture capital fund, a network of about 100 coaches, and a downtown hub with studios and tools. It is not a product company. It is funded by government grants and partnerships. Examples are Canada Economic Development for Quebec Regions (CED), which gave it support in 2024, and its AI program partnership with Stradigi AI, announced in 2018. Zú has stated that since 2023 it has centered its activities on responsible and inclusive entrepreneurship.
