Astribot raises RMB 1B at RMB 15B valuation for cable-driven humanoid robots
The Shenzhen company, also called Stardust Intelligence, was founded in December 2022 and builds humanoid robots that use cable-driven bodies. Shenzhen Investment Holdings led the new round, joined by Hongtai Fund, the Ninghai Xingtaihe fund, Shanheng Capital and returning investor Xianmu. Earlier backers include Yunqi Capital, Matrix Partners China, Jinqiu Fund, Ant Group and Guoke Investment. Astribot has closed A+, A++, B and now this round since March 2026. The June Series B pushed its valuation past RMB 10B for the first time, so the latest step adds roughly RMB 5B in three months. Proceeds go to model iteration, hiring, commercial rollout and production capacity. The company says it holds orders in the thousands of units and capacity in the tens of thousands, claims not independently verified. For AI builders, the round shows Chinese capital paying up for full-stack embodied AI, where the body, operating system and foundation model (Lumo) are built together. Teams building robot models or data pipelines should expect well-funded hardware-plus-model rivals that can collect deployment data at scale.
