Scimplify raises $25M from Hitachi Ventures to extend AI-run chemical production to the US
Bengaluru-based Scimplify, founded in 2023, closed an all-equity strategic round led by Hitachi Ventures. Customers Henkel and Teknor Apex joined as new investors, and Accel India, Bertelsmann India Investments, Omnivore and 3one4 Capital returned. Total equity raised is now $80M. A person familiar with the deal put the post-money valuation at $250M, which the company declined to confirm. The company says its annualized revenue run rate is about $200M, triple a year earlier, and targets $400M within a year. US run rate is about $60M, up from $10M. It reports being EBITDA-positive for two months and serving more than 1,000 customers in over 40 countries. Energy, electronics and defense now make up roughly half of revenue. The money funds production sites in the US and Japan. For AI builders, Scimplify shows an applied-AI model that sells finished physical output rather than software seats, with customers investing as strategic backers. It also shows that supply-chain reshoring is pulling AI-enabled industrial startups toward profitability faster than most software peers.
