Blacksmith raises $66M Series C led by Sequoia Capital at $1B valuation
Blacksmith raised $66 million in a Series C led by Sequoia Capital, with participation from Premji Invest and existing backers Peak XV Partners, GV and Y Combinator. The company said its annual recurring revenue grew 17 times but did not publish an absolute figure. Total funding now stands at $125 million. The round comes two months after a $45 million Series B led by Peak XV at a $550 million valuation, so the valuation nearly doubled. Blacksmith runs continuous integration workloads for more than 10,000 companies, including Ashby, Granola, Handshake and LangChain, and says its service runs builds twice as fast at 60% lower cost. For builders, the round reflects demand for CI infrastructure as AI-written code multiplies the number of pull requests. Teams shipping agent-generated code should expect build and test capacity to become a bottleneck well before model costs do.
