Enact Intelligence raises $30M pre-seed for robot touch sensing
Enact Intelligence raised $30 million in pre-seed funding led by Redalpine, Notion Capital and Firstminute Capital, which Sifted described as Switzerland's largest ever pre-seed round. Angel backers include Arthur Mensch and Yann LeCun. The Zurich company is building robots that learn through force and touch rather than vision alone. Sifted described cofounder Manuel Yves Galliker as a former 1X and Physical Intelligence alum, and the company was founded in March 2026. The team is pursuing a full-stack approach that combines new hardware, sensors and models. For robotics founders, the round shows that investors will back full-stack physical AI teams at the pre-seed stage when the bottleneck is tactile training data. Teams building embodied models should treat sensing data as a potential differentiator.
