Boomi buys Elementary Data for about $40M to add AI data observability
Calcalist reports the deal is valued at roughly $40 million to $45 million in cash and stock. Elementary began as an open-source project and later added an enterprise cloud tier, and its tools are used by more than 1,500 data teams. Its software monitors the reliability of data that feeds AI agents and enterprise systems. Elementary had raised about $8.5 million by the end of 2022 from TLV Partners, Cowboy Ventures, Y Combinator and angels. The deal is Boomi's third Israeli acquisition after Rivery and Lunar.dev. Its cofounders are veterans of an Israeli military intelligence unit. For AI builders, the deal shows data quality and observability for agent pipelines becoming a platform purchase. Teams shipping agents should monitor upstream data as a live system rather than treating it as a one-time cleanup.
