Dream Labs raises $90M seed for Dream-1 robot foundation model
B Capital and Kindred Ventures led the seed, with A.Capital, Unusual Ventures, SV Angel, Wing VC, Scribble VC and angel Adrian Aoun also investing. The company was founded in 2026 by former Nvidia robotics researchers and launched Dream API alongside the round. Dream-1 learns from video of people doing everyday tasks and can control bimanual robots with parallel grippers without robot-specific training. Most of the new capital is earmarked for compute to keep training Dream-1 and to serve API requests. A fine-tuning service lets manufacturers and developers submit demonstration data for tailored models. Valuation was not disclosed, and the company has not announced a revenue figure. For teams building physical AI, the notable move is selling robot control as metered model access instead of custom integration per machine. Anyone deploying on mixed hardware should test how a shared model performs on their own robots before committing.
