Teddy AI raises a $60M seed to buy and automate the back offices of niche B2B law firms
Founder Kyle Tucker told Axios Pro that the New York company closed a $60 million seed round and aims to raise a $100 million Series A by year-end. The seed investors were not named. Teddy AI was incubated inside Farm Corp, Tucker's company. The strategy is a rollup. Teddy AI wants to acquire the back-office operations of more than a dozen law firms that provide niche B2B compliance and legal services, then run that work with AI. It joins a growing group of AI-enabled services rollups that buy existing firms to get revenue and customers right away instead of selling software to them. For founders, a seed this size shows that investors will fund capital-heavy acquisition strategies early when AI can cut labor costs in overlooked service lines. The open question is whether margins improve fast enough to justify the capital these rollups use.
