Ideon Technologies
Ideon Technologies is a TRIUMF spin-off. It sells the REVEAL Subsurface Intelligence Platform, a solution-as-a-service offering that combines proprietary muon detectors, AI-powered analysis and multi-physics data fusion to build 3D density models for mineral exploration and mine monitoring. Customers include Rio Tinto (Bingham Canyon, 2024), Orano, Vale and BHP. It raised a Series A led by Playground Global in 2022 (about CAD 21M, per Preqin) and received a CAD 2.7M PacifiCan grant in 2024. It has also received ARPA-E funding (reported 2026), and CB Insights puts total funding at about $20.6M.
