ilosta (Crack Map™)
Ilosta's Crack Map™ combines fracture mechanics with AI to classify, map and assess damage such as cracks and leading-edge erosion. It takes images, drone surveys, reports and NDT data from any source, and it is aimed mainly at wind energy asset owners, inspectors and service providers. The company is a Glasgow startup founded in 2019 that licenses software and offers structural integrity services. It raised a venture round in February 2024 led by Equity Gap with the University of Strathclyde and Scottish Enterprise, and Glacier Energy invested in a December 2024 round and now offers Crack Map™ in its wind services.
