Synapse Analytics raises $13M Series A
Partech led the round, with Algebra Ventures and Silicon Badia participating. Algebra and Silicon Badia are existing investors. Total raised since inception now stands at $17 million. Valuation and other terms were not disclosed. The company plans to use the money to grow its internal team, speed up development of its core products and expand internationally. Ahmed Abaza and Galal Elbeshbishy founded the company in 2018. It began in Egypt and is now headquartered at Hub71 in Abu Dhabi. Target regions are the Middle East, Africa and Latin America. Customers include banks, non-bank lenders, fintechs and telecom companies. One report says its software supports over $200M in lending. The company's marketing claims it cuts non-performing loans by 40%. For AI founders selling into regulated sectors, the round is a data point on deployment. The platform runs on-premise, in a private cloud or in air-gapped environments, which keeps sensitive data inside the client's infrastructure. Stricter data protection rules push institutions toward localized infrastructure instead of cross-border cloud. Products that run inside a customer's firewall may be a purchase requirement in these markets, and investors are backing that approach.
