RapidCanvas raises $29M Series B to staff field AI engineers in India, US and Brazil
Vertex Ventures SEA & India led the round. Hitachi Ventures is a new investor, and existing backers Accel, Peak XV Partners, Valley Capital Partners and Titanium Ventures took part. No valuation was disclosed. The Austin company will use the money to expand go-to-market teams and field AI engineering teams across India, the US and Brazil, and to grow a network of private equity and advisory partners who bring it into their portfolio companies. RapidCanvas sells a managed model: its AI platform is paired with engineers who learn a customer's business processes, build custom applications and stay accountable for outcomes. That puts it closer to the forward-deployed engineering approach used by several larger AI vendors than to pure software licensing. For builders, the round suggests enterprises still pay for production deployment and accountability, not only model access. Distribution through private equity portfolios is a repeatable channel worth studying if your product needs hands-on implementation.
