OpenAI acquires Glass Imaging for $300M

Glass Imaging is an imaging technology company that uses customized AI in camera hardware for computational photography. On September 14, 2026, OpenAI announced it would acquire Glass Imaging for $300M. OpenAI is an AI research and deployment company that develops advanced AI models, including ChatGPT. At the middle of Crunchbase's revenue estimate ($1M to $10M) the price works out to roughly 95× revenue.
