Ema raises $77M Series B for its universal enterprise AI employee
The round was announced on September 23, 2026. Accel, Section 32 and Prosus all increased their existing stakes. The company did not name the new valuation, saying only that it is more than four times the level of the previous round. Ema reports 50x revenue growth over the past 24 months. It says one large HR deployment at Wipro covers 240,000 staff in 65 countries and handles about 2.9 million queries a year. Another deployment, at a top-five outsourcing firm, processes more than one million IT service tickets annually. These figures come from the company. Ema was founded in 2023 by Surojit Chatterjee and Souvik Sen. Its agents plug into more than 250 business apps and target HR, IT and finance work. The new money goes to sales and marketing, plus expansion into APAC and EMEA. A bengaluru-based lead investor backing a company that sells mainly into the US and Europe fits that plan. For founders, the signal is that buyers and investors are rewarding agent platforms that show production usage at large enterprises, not pilots. A single multi-department platform is the pitch, and it competes against point solutions. The undisclosed valuation and self-reported metrics mean the claims still need diligence.
