Casap raises $56M Series B to scale AI agents for bank fraud disputes
Casap closed an oversubscribed Series B of $56M led by Base10 Partners, bringing total funding to $90M. Experian and Synchrony joined as strategic investors, while Emergence Capital and Lightspeed Venture Partners returned for more. The New York company said its AI agents serve more than 100 banks, credit unions, fintechs and processors. It had raised a $25M Series A about a year earlier. The agents handle disputes, first-party fraud, collections, claims and complex exceptions. Customers report up to 51% lower first-party fraud. Experian will explore first-party fraud and consumer intent signals with the company, and Synchrony is using the product to support its own customer service shift. For AI founders, the lesson is that vertical agents with measurable loss reduction can attract banks as strategic investors. Financial buyers want proof on fraud and dispute costs before they expand a contract, so the path from pilot to revenue runs through hard metrics.
