Hyperbolic raises $30M Series A-1 led by Walden Catalyst for GPU cloud
Hyperbolic raised a $30M Series A-1 led by Walden Catalyst, a venture firm founded by Intel CEO Lip-Bu Tan and former Samsung president Young Sohn. Dell Technologies Capital, General Catalyst, Vista Equity Partners, Cambium Capital and Salience Capital also participated. Total funding now stands at $50M. The company runs software that helps customers manage compute across multiple GPU cloud providers. It plans to use the capital to develop its Forge platform and build related tools. Dell Technologies Capital and Vista Equity Partners add corporate and growth-stage backing to the cap table. For founders, a scheduling and management layer across several GPU clouds lets teams treat rented capacity as one pool. Compute cost is a main constraint for many AI companies, so tools that reduce idle capacity can win budget even when chips are scarce.
