Clockwork.io raises $31M from Premji Invest, Wing and Seligman to keep AI jobs running through GPU failures
Palo Alto-based Clockwork.io raised $31M co-led by Premji Invest, Wing Venture Capital and Seligman Ventures, with NEA and e& Capital returning, for a total of $73M raised. Its software (LinkPass, TorchPass, TorchSnap) reroutes traffic around network faults, migrates workloads off failing GPUs and checkpoints distributed jobs so training, inference and RL runs survive hardware failures; LinkedIn says it prevents tens of thousands of GPU-hours of downtime each month, and Together AI offers TorchPass as a service. Other customers include Wells Fargo and Uber, with Nebius and Nscale as partners. Funds extend coverage to RL workloads and cloud distribution, since fault tolerance is now a direct multiplier on how much of a cluster's spend turns into useful work.
