Daytona raises $60M Series B at $1B valuation for AI agent cloud infrastructure
Daytona has provisioned more than one million sandboxes on its platform, and its customers include Anthropic, OpenAI, Nvidia, Cursor and Cognition. Cofounder and CEO Ivan Burazin told Fortune that revenue run rate grew 25 times between January and September, and that the company has averaged monthly growth of about 51 percent. The round brings total funding to $91 million, and roughly $50 million of it came from existing investors. Angel participants include Patrick Collison, Adam D'Angelo, Tobi Lutke and Aravind Srinivas. The company positions its product against general cloud providers, whose virtual machines take longer to start for agent workloads. Daytona plans to extend its sandbox product into a wider agent cloud platform and expand its international team. For founders building agents, the round shows that the runtime layer where agents execute code is attracting dedicated infrastructure vendors. Sandboxes that start quickly and stay isolated are becoming a line item in agent architecture decisions.
