Ex-Slack leaders' Scuba exits stealth with $34M across pre-seed and seed rounds
The $34M was raised over two rounds. Accel led the pre-seed, and IVP joined Accel to co-lead the seed. BoxGroup, Conviction, Homebrew and Scribble Ventures also participated. Angel investors include founders of Slack, Instagram, Stripe, LinkedIn, Salesforce, Datadog, Vanta, Harvey, Dropbox and Abridge. Neither valuation nor revenue was disclosed. Scuba is a shared context engine. Teams save articles, screenshots, docs, threads and voice notes from the browser, apps or agents, and the product organizes them automatically so people and AI agents work from the same memory. It runs inside Slack, Claude, ChatGPT and Cursor, and in any tool that supports the Model Context Protocol. CEO Noah Desai Weiss, a former Slack leader, frames the problem as models being limited by context rather than intelligence. For builders, this is a bet that shared team memory becomes a layer agents query through MCP rather than a feature of any one chat product. A seed of this size from two top-tier firms also shows the capital available for context infrastructure before there is a public product.
