Kuro Technology raises €10M ($11.3M) Seed
UVC Partners led the round, with Foundamental, Realyze Ventures and helloworld participating. Company and investor announcements gave no round label and no valuation, so "seed" comes from Crunchbase and some secondary coverage. Kuro has twelve customers, six of them among the 20 largest general contractors in the German-speaking region, and customers report saving about 90 hours per bid. Lea Scherer and Jonas Minkler founded it in November 2024 after leadership roles at alcemy and Capmo, and it now has 16 employees. The product began in estimating and tender processing. When an estimator corrects the software's judgment, the correction is stored in a rule set and applied automatically to the next project. The new capital goes toward expanding into sales, procurement and construction execution, and the company also plans to add accounting and compliance. Named customers include HOCHTIEF Infrastructure, Goldbeck and Implenia. For founders building vertical AI, the pattern is a narrow, high-value first workflow that earns data and trust before the product widens. Kuro still has to show that its time and error reductions repeat across different companies, project types and processes. That test decides whether it becomes a shared knowledge layer or stays a costing tool.
