Buildots raises $130M at ~$1B for AI construction-site tracking
OG Venture Partners led the round, and it was entirely newly issued equity with no secondary sale of existing shares. Lightspeed, Intel Capital, Mohari, Human Capital, Qumra, Viola Growth, Poalim Equity and Avigdor Willenz also took part. The company has more than 400 employees and plans to use the money to launch products for more stages of the construction cycle. Total funding now stands at about $297 million. The system turns site video into digital models of a project and compares them with schedules and 3D building models, so managers can spot deviations and likely delays. Customers include Intel, Digital Realty, STO Building Group and JE Dunn. The valuation is up from $300M at the Series D in May 2025. CEO Roy Danon's pitch centers on data centers: AI chips have short economic lives, so a faster build gives processors more time to earn returns before newer hardware overtakes them. For AI founders, the round shows a vertical product tied to a measurable cost, here schedule slippage on very expensive projects, can reprice sharply when a boom in another sector raises the price of delay. Buildots sells to buyers whose own AI capex makes lost weeks expensive. Founders in physical-world verticals can borrow that approach: tie pricing and the sales story to the customer's cost of time, and track which spending wave feeds that cost.
