North.cloud lands $60M Series B led by PeakSpan Capital for cloud and AI spend control
PeakSpan Capital led the round, with Litquidity Ventures, Companyon Ventures, Alpaca VC, Uncommon Denominator, Gaingels and Mana Ventures participating. No valuation was reported. North.cloud was founded in 2023 by Matt Biringer and Yassine Acoine, and the new money lifts its reported equity funding to $67.6M, so the Series B is roughly eight times everything raised before it. The company sells a cloud financial management platform that helps finance and engineering teams optimize and automate spend across cloud, AI and data infrastructure. Its listing in AlleyWatch's New York funding report for October 15 puts it among several companies building tooling around the cost of running AI workloads. For AI builders, inference and training bills are now a line item large enough to attract dedicated Series B funding. Teams shipping AI products should expect finance-grade cost attribution to become a standard buying requirement, and tooling vendors in this niche are now well capitalized.
