Inbolt raises €11M ($12.5M) in a venture round
Shift4Good, a new investor, led the round, with Bridges Climate Transition Partners and existing backers BNP Paribas Développement and Ora Global taking part. Total funding now stands at €30 million. Dealroom labels the deal a Series B, while the company's own announcement coverage does not use that term. Valuation was not disclosed. The money goes toward expansion in the US and Asia-Pacific and entry into data centres and electronics manufacturing. The Paris company, founded in 2019 by Rudy Cohen, Albane Dersy and Louis Dumas, sells 3D vision paired with a hardware-agnostic AI software layer that lets robots adjust their control loops in real time. It is deployed on more than 200 robots in over 100 factories across three continents, with customers including Bosch, Ford, Stellantis and Toyota. For founders, the pitch is a retrofit. The software works on new and existing production lines, so manufacturers can upgrade without replacing installed equipment. That lowers the buying barrier compared with selling new robots. The named automotive and electronics customers, plus a hardware-agnostic design, show a route for physical AI companies: sit on top of installed equipment, prove uptime gains in a few large accounts, then move into adjacent sectors. The €11M round is modest in size, and it came from industrial and climate-focused investors.
