Legal IT provider Frontline acquires KL Software and AI chatbot affiliate KLoBot
Frontline Managed Services is a St. Louis company that provides IT and business managed services to law firms. It bought KL Software Technologies and its affiliate KLoBot, an AI chatbot builder, for an undisclosed price. The two firms had announced a strategic partnership earlier in 2026. The new unit covers Microsoft 365, Azure, iManage and Copilot rollouts, ongoing platform management, and KL's own legal apps: KLapper, Legal101, netDocShare and imDocShare. Jagannathan has 25 years of SharePoint experience and has worked on more than 300 implementations for Am Law 100 firms and Fortune 100 legal departments. Consolidation in legal tech has picked up this year, with Harvey and Legora each buying several startups. For builders selling AI to law firms, the deal shows that providers who already run a firm's Microsoft stack want to own the AI layer too. That makes them both channel partners and possible acquirers.
