Mueon raises $65M Series A led by Maverick Silicon for 3D compute and memory Cubelets
Maverick Silicon led the round, and Intel Capital, Geodesic Alliances Fund, Oregon Venture Fund, M-Ventures, Wellington Capital, IQT and Defined participated. Maverick's Manish Muthal and Intel Capital's Srini Ananth join the board. The raise follows a $15.5 million seed in 2025, when the Portland, Oregon company emerged from stealth. No valuation or revenue was disclosed. Mueon is building Cubelets, modular three-dimensional blocks that integrate compute and memory. The design aims to shorten the distance data travels and cut the power spent moving it, with packaging, interconnect, power and thermals treated as core design variables. The company says the architecture is not tied to one accelerator type. Proceeds go to hiring, system validation, production readiness and customer engagements. CEO Wilfred Gomes leads the company. For AI builders, memory bandwidth and power density increasingly set inference cost, so capital is flowing to hardware that attacks data movement rather than raw compute. Cubelets are still pre-production, so near-term relevance is limited to teams tracking next-generation data center supply and alternatives to rack-scale designs.
