Zenzap emerges from stealth with $33M Series A for AI agents in workplace chat
Zenzap's $33 million Series A was co-led by Bessemer Venture Partners and Lightspeed Venture Partners, with The Garage also investing, according to Calcalist. The round closed in August 2025, disclosed only now. Added to an $11 million seed from 2022, total funding is about $44 million, the figure TechCrunch used. Angels include Wix president Nir Zohar. The company has 45 to 50 staff across Tel Aviv, the US and Europe, with no valuation or revenue disclosed. The product is a mobile-first work messenger for teams in hospitality, retail, healthcare and construction. Chat is free; paid plans start at $51 a month for up to 20 users, and AI agents are billed by credits. Listed customers include FedEx, Starbucks, Taco Bell and Dollar General, and users have created more than 40,000 automated workflows. For builders, the pitch is distribution. Slack and Teams have little reach among frontline staff who coordinate over WhatsApp, which lacks IT controls. Agents need a sanctioned place to live inside those conversations, and non-tech industries may adopt them through chat before any standalone agent app.
