Zhuhai on-device model developer Wujiefangzhou closes Series A at a $300M valuation
The round size was not disclosed. Zhuhai Wujiefangzhou Intelligent Technology says its business model line reached $20.6M in annual recurring revenue in its first year of sales. It projects total revenue of $34.4M to $41.3M. Audio brand Shokz is both a shareholder and a large customer: its earbuds carry the company's voice model on about one million units. Chip firm D-Robotics pays roughly $1.38 to $2.75 per license. Revenue comes from three sources: custom development fees, on-device model licenses and cloud token usage. The company claims more than 200 patents, support for over 95% of chip types and 15 million model downloads. Its Edge0-35B model trended on Hugging Face in September. Dealroom lists about $28M raised to date. For founders, the deal is a template for pricing a model company on shipped units and licensing revenue rather than benchmarks. Hardware makers that invest can bring distribution that financial investors cannot match.
